Editorial Policy

Last updated 13 September 2026

This policy explains how Beyond The Final Whistle approaches reporting, sourcing and editorial independence.

Editorial independence

Our editorial team decides what we cover and how we cover it, independently of advertisers, sponsors, and any commercial partnerships. Advertising or sponsored content, if it ever appears on the site, is clearly labeled as such and kept separate from our editorial content.

Sourcing and accuracy

We aim to verify news and transfer reporting before publication and to clearly distinguish confirmed facts from reports, rumours, or speculation — particularly in transfer coverage, where information often changes quickly. Live scores, fixtures and league data are sourced from a professional football data provider and republished as received; while we work to keep it accurate, we don't independently verify every statistic.

Corrections

When we get something wrong, we correct it. See our Corrections Policy for how we handle that.

Reader contributions

Comments and forum posts are contributions from our readers, not Beyond The Final Whistle staff, and don't represent our editorial views. We moderate these spaces to keep them on-topic and free of abuse, spam, and unlawful content.
