This policy explains what personal information Beyond The Final Whistle Media ("Beyond The Final Whistle", "we", "us") collects when you use this website, why we collect it, and how you can contact us about it.

• Account information. If you register a reader account, we store your name, email address, and a securely hashed password (we never store your password in readable form). We also store your favorites and any newsletter or marketing preferences you set.
• Newsletter signups. If you subscribe to our newsletter, we store your email address for that purpose.
• Comments and forum posts. If you comment on an article or post in our forum, that content is publicly visible and is linked to your reader account.
• Contact form submissions. If you contact us, we store your name, email address and message so we can respond.
• Usage data. We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used — pages visited, general location and device type — so we can improve it. See our Cookie Policy for details on the cookies this involves.

How we use your information

We use the information above to operate the site (running your account, showing your comments and forum posts, sending the newsletter you signed up for), to respond to contact form submissions, and to understand and improve the site through aggregate usage analytics. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Third-party services

We use a small number of third-party services to run the site: an analytics provider (Google Analytics) for usage statistics, an image-hosting provider (Cloudinary) for photos, a transactional email provider (Resend) for account and newsletter emails, and a football data provider for live scores, fixtures and league tables — the football data provider does not receive any of your personal information. Our shop is currently in preview mode and does not process real payments; if that changes, a payment processor (Stripe) will handle payment details directly and will never pass your card details through our own servers.

Beyond The Final Whistle is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under that age.
